Bees are fascinating subjects because, unlike other insects that are easy to photograph in the cool of the morning, they are only found in warm weather. And they don’t just sit around ‘doing nothing’ either, but fly at lightning speed from one flower to the next. Photographing them therefore presents a particular challenge. Equipped with a new camera and using additional software for better noise reduction, I set to work. And these are the first results. On this day, the bees visited a damson (Prunus domestica subsp. inititia).
Spring is in the air
While out walking, you’ll come across primroses, violets and liverwort, as well as the white wood anemone.
