Photographing willow catkins in ‘full bloom’ has been on my wish list for a long time. This year it finally worked out.
The little branch came with me to the photo studio and was photographed at the macro workstation with 18 Dedolight (150 watt film lights) and double diffuser with the Nikon Z9 and the Sigma 1:2.8/180 mm macro with FTZ adapter.
The overview image consists of 3 stacks of 300 individual frames each. The other images are extracts from the overall image and can be seen on the start page.
For all those who want to know exactly: The pictures are from the male flower of the goat willow (Salix caprea).
